Dedicated to the memory of Sarah-Jayne Lewis

This site is a tribute to Sarah-Jayne Lewis (SJ), who was born in Oxford on August 27, 1974.

She is deeply loved and will always be remembered as a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Her absence leaves a void in our hearts that will be felt for years to come.

SJ faced immense challenges in her life, battling severe M.E. that confined her to her home and her bed for many years. Despite the darkness and pain she endured, SJ's spirit remained unbroken. She found solace in knowing she was loved and deeply appreciated the support from her friends, family, and the wider M.E. community.

Her legacy is one of passion, kindness, and unwavering support for others. SJ was a pillar of strength for the M.E. and chronic illness community, founding a Facebook support group to help others navigate their struggles. Her compassion extended to those facing mental health challenges, offering understanding and encouragement to all who needed it.

SJ's life was rich with experiences and talents. She was incredibly creative and intelligent, using her skills to create beautiful works of art through colouring and AI-generated images. Her love for otters was infectious, and her artwork often reflected this passion. Before her illness took hold, SJ lived life to the fullest – kayaking, travelling, and volunteering at an orphanage in Bulgaria. She was a successful professional, leading a team as a manager, and a dedicated advocate for social justice, caring deeply about the world around her.

As we reflect on SJ's life, we each hold our own precious memories of her. Her wit, her creativity, her compassion – these are the qualities that will live on in our hearts. While it's difficult to accept that she is no longer with us, we can take comfort in knowing that her suffering has ended and that she was aware of how much she was loved.

SJ's departure is undoubtedly a shock and a profound loss for all who knew her. In this time of grief, let us support one another and honour her memory by embodying the kindness and empathy she showed to others.

In keeping with SJ's beliefs and wishes, we remember her not as a soul in an afterlife, but as the wonderful human she was in this world. She lives on in our memories, in the lives she touched, and in the positive changes she brought to her community. As we say goodbye, let us light candles in her honour, celebrating the bright light she was in our lives.

SJ, you will be forever missed, forever loved, and forever remembered. xxx.
